Benefits for Employers

As an employer hiring Malaysian full-time students from local IPTA (Public Higher Learning Institutions), IPTS (Private Higher Learning Institutions), higher learning institutions abroad, or TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) institutions, you are eligible for a double tax deduction incentive. Eligibility Criteria

NATIONAL STRUCTURED INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME (MYSIP)

To qualify for the MySIP incentive, your organization must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Internship Period
    • Provide a minimum of 10 weeks internship period programme for the intern.
  • Minimum Allowance
    • Pays a minimum of RM600.00 monthly or more for interns pursuing Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, Malaysian Advanced Skills Diploma (DLKM), Professional Certificate or equivalent.
    Pays a minimum of RM500.00 monthly or more for interns pursuing Diploma, Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM), Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 1 to Level 3, Certificate or equivalent.
  • Structured Internship Framework
    • Provide a structured internship programme that includes practical experience with an emphasis on the development of specific knowledge or skills.

Do You Have Any Questions?

  • You may start by registering your company at company.mynext.my
  • If you have existing interns, you may submit your MySIP application in MyNext website under MySIP Direct Hiring
  • You may also advertise your internship vacancies in your company for interns to apply and complete their internship at your company.
  • TalentCorp will issue a Letter of Endorsement based on the total number of internship placements that you submitted in a year.

TalentCorp is mandated to facilitate MySIP company registration and endorsement based on the gazette received from the Ministry of Finance. As such, there are no charges to apply to be a MySIP company.

You need to receive an internship placement offer from a MySIP company. Kindly refer to the details of student eligibility stated on the Graduate page.

  • Provide a minimum internship period of 10 weeks
  • Pay a minimum monthly allowance of RM600 for Master’s Degree, Bachelor’s degree and Professional Certificate or equivalent
  • Pay a minimum monthly allowance of RM500 for diploma/Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 1 to Level 5 or equivalent
  • Provide an internship framework that include practical experience and emphasises the development of specific knowledge or skills for students and approved by TalentCorp
  • Registered with Companies Commission of Malaysia (SSM) or recognized entities

MySIP companies will receive the following benefits:

  • Be eligible to claim for Double Tax Deduction from the Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) on expenses that occurred during the internship such as allowances, logistics, data and communication, and training.
  • Employers can develop and nurture their talent pipeline for their companies.
  • Advertise their internship vacancies for free on the MyNext website.
