The ‘How to’ Guide for your mynext Talent account

You’ve just signed up for a mynext Talent account. Now what? 

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can make the most out of your mynext account.  

 

STEP 1 

Complete the ‘About Me’ section  

To begin completing this section, you’ll first need to identify your status; student, intern, employed, or unemployed. Upon selection, the questions that follow will be catered towards your chosen status.  

Once you’ve completed the ‘About Me’ section, you’re all set to access your mynext dashboard. 

 

 

Here’s an overview of your mynext dashboard and what each section entails. Ready to level up your mynext account? Let’s move on to Step 2. 

STEP 2 

5 psychometric assessments, 1 English proficiency test & countless opportunities

First on the list are your five psychometric assessments to discover your strengths, weaknesses, and the traits you’ll need to succeed in the world of work.  

The five psychometric assessments, known as the mynext Profiling Suite, analyses aspects of your personal self and identifies your work values and interests, as well as furnishes you with details about your most employable traits and how you can utilise those traits to advance in your career.  

The mynext Profiling Suite encompasses the following:  

Work Values
Helps youdiscover what kind of values in a career will resonate best with your personal self.

Work Interests
Enables you to identify what piques your interests and the career paths that would help you uncover those interests.

Personality & Motivation
Allows you to gain a better understanding of your personality, as well as what motivates and demotivates you within the world of work.

Employability
Helps you discover the personal traits you possess that makes you most employable and grants you career options that cater to those employability factors.

The Future of Work
Provides you with the state of readiness for the current and future world of work, and the skills you’ll need to progress in your career journey.  

Upon completion of the mynext Profiling Suite, it’s time to move on to the next step; Step 3. 

STEP 3 

Exploring potential career paths 

Now that you’ve discovered your strengths and weaknesses, you’re ready to see potential career paths that suit you. The mynext Career Explorer feature uses the RIASEC model to streamline occupations of various sectors, based on the O*NET library, to identify careers that are in demand and categorises them into different zones based on the level of requirements you’ll need to endeavour into those career paths. The mynext Career Explorer feature is personalised to each user and is generated based on your Work Interests and Work Value profiling results.
