YES! is a proactive intervention to enhance Malaysia’s Graduate Employability (GE) and talents’ essential skills to be industry ready.

  • Enhance graduate employability ecosystem and talent in respective higher learning institutions via the initiative’s value-added themes (“VAT”)
  • Championing each value-added theme and expanding the network to other potential collaborators
  • Support and enhance graduate employability ecosystem by providing expertise and to optimise the collaborations into enhancing talent development agenda
  • Obtain and gain cooperation from Higher Learning Institutes to ensure the success of YES! programme in creating awareness on Graduate Employability space

Young Employable Students (YES) is a framework of action designed to enhance graduate employability in collaboration with strategic and passionate industry and academic collaborators through an interactive approach.

The main goals of the YES programme are to:

  • Enhance career awareness among students/ fresh graduates
  • Promote personal development for students/ fresh graduates
  • Inculcate wisdom in thinking and action for students/ fresh graduates
  • Empower youths to chart their own career paths by incorporating our signature career roadmap elements: self-awareness, market awareness, personal branding, and experience.

For students: Students can participate in the YES programme by enrolling in the programs and activities offered by their university. Details on how to join can typically be found through university career services or the program's official channels.

There are a few modules offered in YES! programme such as

  • YES! Social Impact: It is designed to empower students and youth through solution-focused training sessions using experiential employability proofing approaches; digital media and specific modules on the third sector such as project management, social project creation, fundraising, and social impact measurement.
  • YES! Intelligence: To raise awareness and support on GE essential to gain awareness and opportunity offered by industry perspective by collaboration with YES! Collaborators and industry partners under TalentCorp.
  • YES! Empowered: To develop a GE ecosystem powered by the students. This community will be the driver and enabler for Career Centre to create more GE intervention programme
  • YES! We Lead: To incubate intervention framework and ideation in preparation for potential leaders all over Malaysia to be more proactive in combating Graduate Employability
  • YES! Communication: To increase the candidate's employability and also to spark the audience's interest in equipping communication or language- Mandarin/English skills as one of their supplementary skills.
  • YES! Career Coaching: To empower career center functions in helping institutions and MOE to devise strategic intervention plans

SPONSORSHIP FOR MALAYSIAN STUDENT ASSOCIATIONS

The partnership aims to improve graduate employability by providing financial support of up to RM10,000. It also enhances connectivity with collaborators, companies, industries, and MSAs, while promoting broader participation in programmes that benefit students.

  • Monetary Support: Up to RM10,000 to improve graduate employability.
  • Increased Connectivity: Opportunities to collaborate with companies, industries, and MSAs.
  • Enhanced Publicity: Work closely with MYNext Marketing to promote the programme and graduate employability.
  • Special Invitations: Access to TalentCorp programmes such as the Semester Break Programme, MyNext Ambassadors, and industry collaboration programmes.
  • Participation: All members must register and participate in all initiatives and programmes implemented by Talent Corporation and its subsidiaries.
  • Assessments: All registered participants must complete a minimum of two (2) assessments under the ‘mynext profiling’ initiative.
  • Promotion: Promote Talent Corporation’s programmes and initiatives through digital campaigns, including brand promotion, video marketing, and testimonial sharing regarding ‘mynext profiling’.
  • Data Sharing: Provide a list of participating students, including demographic details such as name, email, year of study, academic course, and institution name.

MSAs are expected to:

  • Propose a session with TalentCorp for mynext activities (e.g., booth exhibitions or speaking engagements) that benefits a broad range of university students.
  • Ensure 50% of the targeted participants attend the programmes as outlined in the Final Proposal.
  • Include Talent Corporation’s and MYNext logos in all related programmes, subject to prior written consent.

Recipients must complete a post-project report, including student demographics (name, email, year of study, course/programme, and gender) and details on the project’s outcome, activities, or events. This report should be submitted within four weeks of project completion, following the TalentCorp demographic template (YES template).

The partnership provides students with enhanced opportunities for employability, networking with industry professionals, and participation in impactful programmes that contribute to their academic and professional development.
